The firm
An engineer, not an agency.
VTAM was founded by Bernie McCune, an aircraft maintenance engineer with years spent on the tools and in technical management. He works with a small team of engineers and records specialists in Vietnam, close to the aircraft and the operators they support.
The idea is simple. Owners and financiers rarely have their own engineer standing next to the aircraft in Vietnam. VTAM is that engineer, acting only for the owner and speaking the technical language on both sides.
Being small is deliberate. The person who inspects your aircraft is the person who writes the report and the person who picks up the phone when you have a question about it. Nothing is handed down a chain, and nothing is written by somebody who was not there.

What those clients have in common is that the aircraft is in Vietnam and they are not. We work for whoever holds the asset risk, and we do not take work from both sides of the same aircraft.
Where we work
Ho Chi Minh City is home, and Vietnam is where we are most useful. Reaching an aircraft here is a domestic trip for us, which is the whole reason an owner overseas engages a firm like ours.
Work beyond Vietnam is considered case by case.
